Lauren Braun was born in Los Angeles, CA and grew up in Buffalo, NY. She studied for one year at Otis College of Art and Design and received her BFA in Art Photography from Syracuse University. In Syracuse she was an active member of the Community Darkrooms and a contributing photographer for Equal Time Magazine. She received a MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She moved to Pittsburgh in 2007 and works at City Theatre.

Current work consists of mixed media collage, drawing and photography.
